Graphic Synecdoche of Invisible Cities is a studio-driven project presented by Pocca during the Unfold Shanghai Art Book Fair 2021. The key images are extracted from the original story of the 55 cities (in fact entirely imaginary scenes of the author's imagination, either in the past or in the future) that Marco Polo introduces to Kublai during his journey, we designed 55 totems or key-like symbols corresponding to the 55 cities in which they are assembled as a kind of metaphor through graphics and symbols in this mini-book, which is only 70mm x 70mm. All the stories read like pieces of dreams stacked up, like mysteries. In response to the unseen complexity and tantalizing presence of a world in the past or in the future. The reader needs to enter into the correspondence and metaphor of words and objects, names and realities, and be carried by the fragments of images that may or may not find their way to the exit, to a world in their own spirit ......
